Washington D.C. - December 2009
After rigorous testing and evaluation by DHS Safety Act representatives and technology experts, our RESPONSEnet system, related REPORTER and NOTIFIER modules, training and data collection methods have been awarded Safety Act Certification.
The SAFETY Act Certification provides important liability protections for our customers. The RESPONSEnet system, through this certification, is now a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT).
Certification is the highest level of validation by the Department of Homeland Security and the most difficult to achieve. The VES RESPONSEnet tactical mapping system is a tool utilized by our clients, police departments, fire departments and external stakeholders nationwide.

About Virtual Emergency Services LLC
Our RESPONSEnet™ mapping database solution was designed by lifelong first responders who know what works during the stress, confusion and uncertainty that surrounds real incidents and emergencies – and how first responders and Crisis Management Team members can really use these tools in the field. Our solution has been chosen by a large number of clients as their Crisis Management Database solution under several Grant programs. Our Mapping Database team is currently working with districts in Michigan, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Virginia and California, representing over 3,500 buildings, as well as many other public and private organizations and first responder agencies.
Our solution is considered best-of-breed due to its provision, not only of site-specific emergency response data, but also of web-based incident tracking and reporting, emergency notifications, and superior project management.
RESPONSEnet™ is a scalable, modular, software database that enables first responders and client personnel to securely access via web, pre-determined tactical response plans and coordinate on-site Incident Command System activities to respond to emergency incidents including terrorist attacks, as well as natural disasters, fires, utility breaks and leaks, and hazardous material spills. The system allows police, fire, and other first responders to instantly access more than 325 data points for any structure, including tactical/emergency response plans, evacuation routes, satellite and oblique aerial imagery, exterior and interior photos, floor plans, utility shut-off locations, hazardous substance inventories, 360 degree virtual environments and more.
The REPORTER™ module provides the user the ability to track, report and verify “daily” incidents, training elements, and other emergency management events. The REPORTER module is a web-based incident reporting and notification module built specifically to empower clients to quickly document on-site activities. The solution allows clients and first responder agencies to effectively work together and document anything, anywhere, at any time. Clients also are empowered to notify groups, responders, and internal personnel with the NOTIFIER™ module. This tool allows for customized alerts (emergency, weather, newsletter etc.) to be created and sent to all users in seconds. This concept is called "unified messaging," because one message may be sent to multiple types of devices (computer email or mobile text messaging).
Clients also can use MOBILE NOTIFIER™ and MOBILE REPORTER™ (versions able to be accessed and utilized from a mobile phone device – e.g. Blackberry), which provides a secure interface to the NOTIFIER™ and REPORTER™ modules from which the user can send, modify and add new announcements as well as create, manage and update incident reports and checklists right from the mobile device instead of having to access a computer with internet accessibility.
The RESPONSEnet™ technology has been created with the input of Law Enforcement, Military, and Fire and Emergency planning professionals to specifically address the needs of first responders’ and on-site personnel.
